We are looking for a chef to join our little team at Josefine Vertshus, a historic event venue in Homansbyen, Oslo. We are a family run business and looking for somebody who is seeking a long-term job with lots of autonomy when it comes to menu, running the kitchen and working hours. Tuesday to Thursday we have a la carte serving and Friday/Saturday we host private events (50-200 ppl) with pre-ordered food. Check our website josefine.no for current menu. Main reponsibility:

  • Take full responsibility for our kitchen (assisted in weekends for events)
  • Prepare dishes for a la carte serving Tuesday - Thursday (evening) and events Friday to Saturday (afternoon-evening)
  • Create menues and responsible for all food purchases (our current suppliers are Asko, Strøm Larsen and Juels kolonial).
  • Ensure compliance with food handling and hygiene procedures
  • Collaborate effectively with bar to uphold a positive working environment.

Om bedriften

A few years experience is an advantage, but personal fit and desire to develop as a chef is equally important for us. This is not a typical kitchen job, so please do not hesitate to contact us for a genereal chat. We are mainly looking for somebody to work 100%, but 70-80% could also be of interest.
