About the position
We are searching for members to join our openingteam for starting our ambitious new Brasserie this fall. The restaurant will feature a state-of-the-art broiler and a creative menu that balances the modern and classic. The kitchen is led by head chef Charif ElMessaoudi, while Miklòs Revai is managing the restaurant floor. We are proud to offer one of Norway’s most extensive wine lists, curated by our wine director Francesco Marzola. We aim to offer a professional and exceedingly friendly guest experience and an inclusive and inspiring work environment. We are looking for high energy personalities with a lot of knowledge about- and a true dedication to, -hospitality. Our working language is English, but basic knowledge and understanding of Norwegian is advantageous. The restaurant is located in the former American Embassy, a historic building designed by Eero Saarinen that has been a prominent landmark in downtown Oslo since 1959. After extensive restoration, it will proudly reopen late 2023, offering various amenities. Positions:
Senior Sous Chef
Work closely with the Head Chef to manage all aspects of the kitchen to deliver an excellent Guest experience. The Sous Chef will also be required to manage food provisions, control costs, and ensure that the kitchen is run to a consistently high standard in the Head Chef’s absence. You are an ambitious and professional team player with an eye for detail. You stay calm and structured under pressure and practice stabile leadership. Previous experience as a Senior Sous Chef or Sous Chef is expected.
Chef de partie
Ensure all food on the given section is prepared in accordance with established recipes and concept. Keep kitchen organised and clean by following the correct HMS procedures. Coach employees in their section the “clear as you go” method of working. You are independent, flexible and have strong communicating skills paired with a positive attitude and a meticulous approach to your work.
About the company
Ambassaden AS is a subsidiary to Fredensborg hospitality and will be running the food&beverage venues located in the house that used to be the American embassy, located next to the castle in Oslo.
