About the position
Serviceminded chef wanted! Yips is seeking a serviceminded chef to join our team in our flagship restaurant in Pedersgata, Stavanger. We do modern asian restaurant and takeaway food and soon we will have our fourth location, so great possibilities for growing for the right person. We are looking for a team player who can work well in a team and that have a potential to moving up in responsibilities and tasks. Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Service duties
- Prepp duties
- Contribute in menu planning with the Head-and sous chef
- Make sure HACCP routines are followed before, during and after service.
- Staff training
Requirements:
- Sufficient kitchen experience and preferably certificate as a chef.
- Experience with asian kitchen. Interest for the asian kitchen can compensate for the right candidate.
- Need to handle and enjoy high tempo.
- Positive attitude with focus on getting the job done.
- Note that non EU/Eøs citizens you will need a norwegian work permit
Benefits:
- Follow norwegian kitchen standards for salary. Will depend on the candidates experience.
Accommodation: Candidate needs to prepare their accomodation themselves but Yips will of course assist if needed. Yips is in the middle of Stavanger, the oil capital of Norway.

Yips is a modern asian restaurant-and takeaway concept founded 5 years ago which has grown to 3 (soon 4) locations and have a expansive growth plan for the next years. Our flagship resturant is in Pedersgata, Stavanger, which has grown to be a well known food street both national-and internationally with well known quality restaurants. Yips is working to use asian flavors combined with local produce. The menu consist of a standard a la carte for both restaurant and takeaway ,and a sharing menu where the kithcen use exciting produce and techniques to create uniqe dishes served individually and sharing style.
