Baker & Pastry Chef
About the position
We are expanding our team!
We are looking for a qualified and independent baker and pastry chef that likes to plan his/her work day, is flexible and prefers accuracy. If you are creative and likes to experience with new flavours, its' a big plus.
We sell our product in our own shop, but we also deliver every day to other restaurants, hotels and cantines.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Daily baking of fresh sourdough breads, baguettes, focaccia, brioche, milk bread and some sweet pastry
- Seasonal making of biscuits, chocolates and dragé almonds, hazelnuts and macadamia
- Deliver by car to other companies
- Prep for the next day
- Cleaning
- Full control of orders and supplies
- Some customer service by e-mail and phone
Requirements:
- Experience from productions of bakery products from scratch (we dont use semi finished products)
- Independent
- Accurate
- Have a driver's license (B)

About the company
We are a local fish restaurant/ fish store in the center of Ålesund. We have a full a la carte menu with fresh sea food, and a large selection of handmade sushi. Our restaurant have capacity for 80 guests, over two floors. We are manly a daytime restaurant, but in the summer season we are open in the evenings as well. We also have a catering business and our own bakery kitchen, where sour dough breads are our most important product.
